One of our core values is: Coaching standard- Qualified and Certified (non-parent) coaches. SC Central Alberta believes that it is essential that all of our coaches maintain a high level of professionalism both on and off the pitch. All of our coaches are qualified and certified non-parental volunteers. We believe that to provide our athletes with the best possible experience playing the game and advancing their skills, coaches shouldn't be parents - parents should be free to watch their players and cheer them on.

Tristan is a young coach that has dedicated his life to learning and growing as a person, player and now coach of soccer. He has continued to grow as a leader from playing to coaching, and is extremely motivated to share his young and fresh knowledge of the game of soccer.
Tristan grew up playing tier 1 soccer in Red Deer while being the captain on many of those teams. He earned a spot on the zone 4 Alberta Summer Games Team, which then led to earning a spot on the Alberta Provincial Team. During his time there he was lucky enough to play and train with players like Alphonso Davies. Following his time there he was invited to attend training sessions and exhibition games for the Red Deer College Kings at the age of 13. Playing in his last year of youth soccer he was able to capture a silver medal at U18 provincials.
As a coach Tristan has a detail oriented approach and believes the little things translate to the big things. He also believes that hard work and dedication are essential foundations for success. Tristan has spent the last year and a half as an assistant coach learning from mentors within The Dome and SC Central Alberta, as well as using other knowledge learned from past provincial and college coaches. Along with continuing to learn as a coach, and hopefully attaining his C-License in the future, he has begun pursuing a Bachelor of Education Degree at Red Deer Polytechnic. He hopes that his playing experience and knowledge can transfer to younger players to reach their full potential and assist in achieving their goals. He is extremely excited to be a part of Central Alberta's newest club, SC Central Alberta!
Tristen has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old and began to play competitively at age 10. Since then, her competitive team won 8 league titles as well as provincial gold medals, and Tristen was honoured to captain the team for all 8 winning seasons. From there, Tristen was recruited on scholarship to play with the RDP Queens Soccer team where her team went on to win provincials and travel to Quebec for nationals.
An ACL tear took Tristen out of the game, but she found a new avenue for soccer through coaching with SC Central. Tristen completed her “Soccer for Life” certification and was an assistant coach for the U11 Girls team this past indoor season. She is now honoured to be stepping into a head coach role for the upcoming season and couldn’t be more excited!
