One of our core values is: Coaching standard- Qualified and Certified (non-parent) coaches. SC Central Alberta believes that it is essential that all of our coaches maintain a high level of professionalism both on and off the pitch. All of our coaches are qualified and certified non-parental volunteers. We believe that to provide our athletes with the best possible experience playing the game and advancing their skills, coaches shouldn't be parents - parents should be free to watch their players and cheer them on.

Tristan is a young coach that has dedicated his life to learning and growing as a person, player and now coach of soccer. He has continued to grow as a leader from playing to coaching, and is extremely motivated to share his young and fresh knowledge of the game of soccer.
Tristan grew up playing tier 1 soccer in Red Deer while being the captain on many of those teams. He earned a spot on the zone 4 Alberta Summer Games Team, which then led to earning a spot on the Alberta Provincial Team. During his time there he was lucky enough to play and train with players like Alphonso Davies. Following his time there he was invited to attend training sessions and exhibition games for the Red Deer College Kings at the age of 13. Playing in his last year of youth soccer he was able to capture a silver medal at U18 provincials.
As a coach Tristan has a detail oriented approach and believes the little things translate to the big things. He also believes that hard work and dedication are essential foundations for success. Tristan has spent the last year and a half as an assistant coach learning from mentors within The Dome and SC Central Alberta, as well as using other knowledge learned from past provincial and college coaches. Along with continuing to learn as a coach, and hopefully attaining his C-License in the future, he has begun pursuing a Bachelor of Education Degree at Red Deer Polytechnic. He hopes that his playing experience and knowledge can transfer to younger players to reach their full potential and assist in achieving their goals. He is extremely excited to be a part of Central Alberta's newest club, SC Central Alberta!
Assistant Coach: Silas Price
Tristen began playing soccer at a young age and was selected to play competitively on a Tier 1 team at age 11. That team went on to win 8 consecutive league titles as well as provincial gold medals, and Tristen was honoured to be the captain of her team for all 8 winning seasons. From there, Tristen was recruited on scholarship to play with the RDP Queens Soccer Team where her college team won provincials and travelled to Quebec for nationals.
Unfortunately, due to an ACL tear, Tristen was taken out of the game. With SC Central, Tristen found a new avenue for soccer through coaching and was able to stay involved in soccer in a different capacity. Tristen completed her "Soccer for Life" Canada Soccer certification and stepped into a head coaching role with the girls team. Outside of her time on the field, Tristen is pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and works as a Mental Health Aide with Alberta Health Services. She is grateful for the opportunity of coaching alongside the incredible coaches at SC Central, and is confident in the knowledge and energy she brings to the pitch. Tristen is both honoured and excited to continue growing the girls program at SC Central, and can't wait for what lies ahead in her coaching career.
